Do US employees sign a contract with Foothold America or my business?

As part of the process of working with Foothold America, we help you determine what services you need, and then we coordinate all aspects of the employment relationship. If you decide not to set up your own US entity and are opting for our Employee Management Service, we hire your candidates to provide services solely to you, and the US employees sign an offer letter with Foothold America. As ‘at will’ employment is standard in the US, employees don’t execute an employment contract as is the typical in many countries. Our offer letter will detail the terms of employment, including salary, benefits, and paid time off.

If you would like US employees to sign an offer of employment directly with your business, you need a US entity. Foothold America can help you establish your US entity and manage your employees via our People Partnership Service.
